Jim Beam revealed the much anticipated Jim Beam Bourbon Whiskey With/replica Glasses​, their newest developed product, on Wednesday. The whisky currently has a proof of 90 and an age statement of 7 years. It is recommended to retail for $24.99.

The bourbon's maturing process was overseen by Fred and Freddie Noe, a father-and-son master distilling team, the business said in a press statement. According to the company, Jim Beam Black has scents of caramel, vanilla bean, and "warm oak."

The standard 750ml bottle has a square body design that tapers abruptly to a circular short neck, however I only have a tiny plastic version of their bottle for my tasting. Although the plastic bottle lacks the typical bottle's third dimension, it nonetheless resembles this form.

I taste nothing except luscious vanilla syrup. Without the carbonated water, it's nearly like sipping a lighter version of the original Coca-Cola mix. There isn't much "there," no depth, and no extra spice to the flavor.

In my opinion, it's simply too sweet.

Traditional

Right now, all I'm getting is the flavor of orange. There is nothing to counterbalance the drink and no depth to the flavor. Pure orange and bitters have supplanted even the vanilla flavor.

Mule

Once more, nothing is present. If at all possible, the only thing the bourbon does for the ginger beer is make it even sweeter.

The bourbon doesn't give any depth or other tastes. In fact, at this stage, a Moscow Mule could possibly have more taste than this concoction.
